meatballs in sauce

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a great and happy weekend so far and I hope that you are ready for these delicious meatballs in a teriyaki garlic sauce. So good.

These meatballs are juicy, saucy and addicting. I am so serious. It was also easy to make which is always a good thing. My kids loved every bite  of it and I am so happy they did. Don’t you just get irritated when you cook a meal and your kids do not like it, or maybe they do but do not finish their plates? Well me too!

I am a big fan of spaghetti with meatballs, it’s like the ultimate Italian meal and it is so hearty. I decided to make these meatballs using a garlic teriyaki sauce from the brand Kikko’s because I found it in the fridge and I just thought “why not add it to the meatballs?”. It was the best decision I’ve made that day, haha!

I also cooked my fluffy and delicious white rice to eat my meatballs with, because I cook rice every day and if I am not eating rice, it’s like I didn’t eat lunch at all. Crazy I know, I think it’s a Latino thing ;). Any who you can definitely eat these delicious meatballs with pasta, mashed potatoes (yum!) and even as an open hot sandwhich. The possibilities are endless!

¡Feliz sabado!

So let’s cook!

First, you want to place 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef ( you can use turkey or chicken, even pork) in a mixing bowl and add the seasonings which are: a teaspoon of paprika and oregano powder, 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons of liquid seasoning, 1/2 tablespoon of Adobo Goya all purpose seasoning,1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/2 red onion finely chooped and 1/4 red and green bell peppers finely chopped as well, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of seasoned breadcrumbs. Mix all ingredients very well.

Now it’s time to use your hands and get dirty! start making medium sized meat balls. This is the fun part!

Now add about 1/2 cup of water or 6 tablespoons, 3 tablespoons of Kikko’s roasted garlic teriyaki sauce and 2 tablespoon of garlic and onions pasta sauce. Mix and cook for 20 minutes on low heat. make sure you cover with a lid. 5 minutes before the meatballs are cooked, you can add some extra red onions and green and red bell peppers(optional but recommended).

Lunch or dinner is served.
