Hi mommies!

This recipe is very yummy in our tummies…or rather our kids tummies. I decided to try something new when doing smoothies and added spinach. I believe spinach is a great source of iron and of course many other great nutrients! So why not and add this leafy greatness to your favorite smoothies! I wanted my four year old daughter to try this new recipe because let me tell you, she is a picky eater sometimes and when she sees green things in her food she automatically assumes is “ewww”!

Now let’s see if my masterpiece plan works!

Easy spinach and banana smoothie

Ingredients:
(1) one banana, sliced into pieces
(2) one handful of spinach
(3) sugar ( one tablespoon)
(4) milk (add to cover ingredients)
(5) ice
(6) oats ( add a tablespoon)

Here are the directions:

The bananas, oats and spinach are ready to go on the blender….I just sliced the bananas as you can see…

Next…add all of the ingredients in the blender…and blend away!

pour in a glass and enjoy!

I think my daughter likes it!….What do you think?

My kids are a big fan of smoothies! I especially like the fact that I can slip veggies in there and they can’t tell the difference. 🙂
