Happy Sunday…

I love eye shadow palettes and truth be told I do not have many of them(sad face right now). Many are expensive and I really do not need 100 different eye shadow palettes. I sometimes like to splurge on it or let my sisters splurge on me. So on Christmas my older sister got me the Smash Box On the Rocks eye shadow palette.

We always ask each other what we want for Christmas and for two years in a row I say make-up. Gosh! I was never a make-up fanatic but I always find myself asking for it even on my birthday. What is wrong with me?

I was eyeing this palette for quite some time so when the opportunity presented itself I jumped on it and asked for it. The reason I wanted this eyes shadow palette is because of all the colors it has, they are amazing and my type of eye-shadows.

This palette brings 28 different eye shadow colors that is sure to please everybody. I mean you can do numerous of different make-up looks, from the nude looks to the smoky night out looks. It brings shimmery and matte colors, so you can mix it up and create the look that best works for you.

The Smash Box On the Rocks palette comes with soft colors like the browns, pinks and purples which make for a great natural make-up look ( favorite kind of make-up). It also comes with the more “glam” colors like the shimmery greens, greys, black and whites (smoky and daring looks). I honestly love all of the colors because I can create different looks and I love to get creative with the eye-shadow colors. I pretend that I know what I am doing and start mixing colors together! Yeah very professional ha!

How cool are the eye-shadow names? I like reading them, actually I only read them once but I think is funny how the eye shadows have names. If is up to me I just call them by the color it is and that’s it. So the light pink color is called “baby cakes” and the shimmery white is called “moonlight” and so on. Aren’t the eye shadow colors beautiful? It makes me want to put it on right now. Actually I did have it on and here’s a picture of my look, I went with a nude type color and some shimmer to add some life into it.

Don’t look at my eye brows because I need to do them! aaahhh the horror and by the way I didn’t take more pictures because of this reason. I think it looks great and you can see how the eye-shadow looks on my eyes. It really is well pigmented so it stays on your eye lids perfectly. Which is great because if you do not want to, you don’t need to put eye primer.

The eye shadows are not chalky and when you apply it on, it doesn’t leave residue on your face. I just think this is a great gift and I know you will like it as well. The packaging is amazing because is sleek and bulky so if you drop it, it wont break.

The smash Box On the Rocks palette packaging is so beautiful. The texture is smooth and soft, but the cool part about it is that it has “rocks” on it. When you touch the rocks it has bumpy texture so you get the soft an sleek texture against the “rocks” texture. Also the Smash Box logo is on the front of the palette of course, with a nice shine to it.

I like the fact that the palette has a pretty big mirror inside, bigger than most of the mirrors in other palettes. I normally do not use it because I just go to the bathroom and do my make-up. I do like it because if I am on the road or traveling, the mirror will be in great use.

I love this palette and is starting to be one of my favorites.

Me encanta las paletas de sombras de ojos y la verdad sea dicha no tengo muchos de ellos (la cara triste en este momento). Muchos son caros y realmente no necesito 100 paletas de sombras de ojos diferentes. A veces me gusta gastar en él o dejar que mis hermanas gasten en mí. Así que en Navidad mi hermana mayor me consiguió la paleta Smash Box On the Rocks ( en la Rocas).

Siempre preguntamos unas a otras lo que queremos para la Navidad y durante dos años consecutivos decidi maquillaje. Pueden creer! Nunca fui una fanática de maquillaje, pero siempre me encuentro pidiendolo e incluso en mi cumpleaños. Qué está mal conmigo?

Yo estaba mirando esta paleta desde hace bastante tiempo por lo que cuando se presentó la oportunidad salté sobre él y pedí. La razón por la que quería  esta paleta de sombra de ojos es por todos los colores que tiene, que son increíbles y mi tipo de sombras.

Esta paleta trae 28 diferentes colores de sombra de ojos que es seguro para complacer a todos. Quiero decir que usted puede hacer numerosos de diferentes looks de maquillaje, desde el aspecto de desnudos a la noche con un look smoky. Trae con brillo y mate colores, así que usted puede mezclar y crear el look que mejor funcione para usted.

Smash Box On the Rocks viene con colores suaves, como los marrones, rosas y púrpuras que hacen para una gran mirada maquillaje natural (tipo favorito de maquillaje). También viene con los colores más “glam“, como los verdes con brillo, grises, negros y blancos (ahumados y miradas atrevidas). Sinceramente amo todos los colores porque puedo crear diferentes looks y me encanta ser creativa con los colores de sombras. Yo pretend que sé lo que estoy haciendo y empiezo a mezclar colores juntos! Sí, ja muy professional!

¿Miren que divertidos son los nombres de sombras de ojos? Me gusta leer,los en realidad yo sólo leí una vez, pero creo que es curioso cómo las sombras de ojos tienen nombres. Si depende de mí Acabo de llamar a ellos por el color que es y es todo. Así que el color rosa claro se llama “tortas de leche” y el blanco con brillo se llama “luz de luna” y así sucesivamente. ¿No son los colores de sombra de ojos hermosos? Me dan ganas de ponerlo en este momento. En realidad, yo lo tenía puesto y aquí está una foto de mi mirada, me fui con un color tipo desnudo y algunos brillo a añadir un poco de vida.

No mires a mis cejas porque necesito hacerlas! aaahhh el horror y por la manera en que yo no tomaba más imágenes debido a esta razón. Yo creo que esto se ve muy bien y se puede ver cómo se ve la sombra de ojos. Realmente es bien pigmentado para que se mantenga en sus párpados perfectamente. Cuál es grande porque si no quieres, no es necesario poner imprimación de ojo.

Las sombras de ojos no son calcáreo y cuando se aplica, no deja residuos en la cara. Yo sólo creo que esto es un gran regalo y sé que le va a gustar  a usted también. El empaque es increíble porque es elegante y abultado si se te cae, no se rompe.

El empaque de la paleta Smash Box On the Rocks es tan hermosa. La textura es lisa y suave,al tocar las rocas tiene textura irregular que pueda obtener la suave textura lisa en contra  la textura de las “rocas”. También el logo de Smash Box está en el frente de la paleta, por supuesto, con un brillo agradable en ella.

Me gusta el hecho de que la paleta tiene un espejo grande en el interior, más grande que la mayoría de los espejos en otras paletas. Yo normalmente no lo uso porque  voy al baño y me pongo mi maquillaje ahi. Me gusta como quiera porque si estoy en la carretera o viajando el espejo estará en gran uso.

Me encanta esta paleta y está empezando a ser unas de mis favoritas.
