I wanted to share with you today my adventure in apple picking with the family. We went about two weeks ago and let me tell you that it was so much fun. My kids loved every minute of it and guess what? They actually behaved and didn’t embarrast me with crying and whining. Whoop whoop. The weather was warm and sunny, and I am so glad that we decided to take the kids to the farm.
I have to say that since we went a little late into the fall season, the farm that we went to was not busy or full of people. Which is sometimes a good thing, specially when you have kids. Needless to say, my kids had all the apple trees to themselves, haha! They jumped, ran, played and picked apples however they wanted, my hubby and I had as much fun as they did. It was the first time we ever went apple picking, so it was exciting for us too.
The farm that we had the pleasure of visiting was Stuart’s Fruit Farm and it’s located in Granite Springs New York. The farm was about an hour away from where we live but for me it wasn’t a big deal. I love long road trips like this one because I can enjoy the scenery and relax in the car. I don’t know, I just love it.
The farm is open daily from 9am to 6 pm and they even have hayrides but only on Saturdays. We went on a Wednesday, so no hayride for us. They also offer school tours, corporate and private events. There is also a bakery opened for the visitors to enjoy and again, we missed the bakery because it was closed! Anyways, you have two options to choose from, a 5lb bag that cost $15 or a 10lb bag that cost $25, so you can put as many apples as the bag can hold. After you choose and pay the nice lady at the register, you are on your way for the best family outing ever. Maybe I’m exaggerating but for us it was just a perfect apple picking day with the family.

¿Cómo estuvo tu fin de semana? El mío estaba bueno no me puedo quejar, había un montón de comida y descanso en mi casa al igual que viendo películas. Así que no estába mal.
Quería compartir con ustedes hoy mi Aventura recogiendo manzanas que tuve con mi familia. Fuimos hace unas dos semanas y déjame decirte que era muy divertido. A mis hijos les encantó cada minute y ¿adivinen qué? En realidad se comportaron bien y no me hicieron pasar verguenza con lloradera y gimotear. El tiempo estaba cálido y soleado, y estoy muy contenta de que decidimos llevar a los niños a la granja.
Tengo que decir que nos fuimos un poco tarde en la temporada de otoño, la finca que fuimos no estaba ocupado o lleno de gente. Que a veces es una buena cosa, especialmente cuando tienes niños. Tengo que decir que mis hijos tenían todas los manzanos para sí mismos, jaja! saltaron, corrieron, jugaron y recogieron las manzanas como ellos querían, mi marido y yo tuvimos mucha diversión como lo hicieron ellos. Era la primera vez que fuimos a recolección de manzanas, así que fue emocionante para nosotros también.
La finca que tuvimos el placer de visitor se llama Stuart’s Fruit Farm y está ubicado en Granite Springs Nueva York. La granja estaba a una hora de distancia de donde vivimos, pero para mí no fue un gran problema. Me encanta viajes largos por carretera porque puedo disfrutar del paisaje y relajarme en el coche. No sé, me encanta.
La finca está abierta todos los días de 9am a 6 pm y hasta tienen paseos en carruajes, pero sólo los sábados. Fuimos en un miércoles, por lo que no Hayride para nosotros. También ofrecen excursiones escolares, eventos corporativos y privados. También hay una panadería abierta a los visitantes para disfrutar una y otra vez, nos perdimos la panadería porque estaba cerrado! De todas formas, usted tiene dos opciones para elegir, una bolsa de 5 libras que costó $ 15 o una bolsa de 10 libras que costó $ 25. Después de elegir y pagar la agradable señora en el registro, está en su camino a la mejor excursión con su familia . Tal vez estoy exagerando pero para nosotros era un día perfecto recogiendo manzanas con la familia.
