Happy Wednesday!
I wanted to share with you today an easy and pretty plum makeup look for Thanksgiving. As you may already know, I love to wear makeup and play around with it. It’s like my little sanctuary and it lifts my spirits up everytime I wear it. Makeup helps me have a higher self esteem and when you are a mom, makeup gives us that extra push of feeling beautiful. Am I right?
So for today’s look I went with a beautiful plumy color on my eyes and a nice nude color on my lips. You can definitely use a different lip color if you want. Our face is a clean canvas, so play with it and create your masterpiece. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, try new eye shadow colors, try new lip colors and just have fun with it.
I ofcourse am not a professional makeup artist or anything close to that nature, but I do love me some makeup. I love to create and show you new makeup looks from time to time. I love sharing it with you and I hope you can get inspired to play around with your hidden makeup stash. I know wearing makeup is the last thing on a mommy’s mind, but I promise it helps to feel awake, energized and just feel beautiful.
Now onto my plum makeup look for Thanksgiving, I hope you enjoy it.
Plum Makeup look:
Step 1: Moisturize your face with your favorite lotion. I use AVEENO brand.
Step 2: I used Maybelline’s Master prime to prime my face. I use it on my face and eyelids.
Step 3: I then start with my eyes. I used the SmashBox On the rocks palette. You can read an in depth review on it here. I start with the eyeshadow color marzipan and use it as a base for my eyelids. I then use the color cable for the crease, color Lilac for the middle of my eyes, color framboise for the right side of my eyelids, color zoom for the lower crease and I go for cable again on the crease. I blend it very well so it can look uniformed.
Step 4: Using Maybelline’s Superstay concealer, I apply it on my under eyes to cover unwanted dark circles. Love this concealer.
Step 5: I used Too faced Sugar pop eye palette, taking the color rock candy to highlight my lower brow bone.
Step 6: Mascara time! I ofcourse have to go with my trusty Maybelline The Falsies Push up drama mascara. This is my favorite mascara at the moment. I also used a black eye liner for under my eyes.
Step 7: To add some color to my cheeks I used the E.L.F blush palette.
Step 8: For lips I used CoverGirl Jumbo gloss in shade 216. it’s like a glossy reddish pink. I also applied wet N Wild dark brown lip stick in shade c914c.
That’s it! The main focus in this makeup look are the eyes since I used bright bold colors. I kept it soft using a nice nude lip color.
Have a great day and I will see you next time.
