Happy Wednesday!

I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already, like can time sloooowww down just a bit? My kids are getting older by the minute and I honestly do not like it. They can stop growing now, thank you. You know what’s going to make me feel so much better about the time going so fast? This deliciously creamy strawberry oats smoothie.

I love smoothies because they are so simple to make, so versatile,  delicious and a great way to add veggies in it and drink it without even knowing that you are drinking vegetables. I love that. Today though, we are leaving the vegetables behind and we’ll be just be focusing on one single fruit ingredient, strawberries.

Did you know that I didn’t used to like strawberries, like I would eat one or two strawberries once a month and that was good enough for me. Then pregnancy happened, I’m talking about my second pregnancy where all of a sudden I became obsessed with them. I would eat strawberries every single day, like full plates of it and I would enjoy them like I never used to no like them before. Who was I?

No puedo creer que ya es Miércoles, puede el tiempo puede ir un poco mas despacio sólo un poco? Mis hijos estan mas grande por el minuto y, sinceramente, no me gusta. Pueden dejar de crecer ahora, gracias. Ya sabes lo que va a hacer que me sienta mucho mejor acerca de la hora que se va tan rápido? Esta deliciosamente cremosa batida de fresa con avena.

Me encantan los batidos porque son tan fáciles de hacer, tan versátil, deliciosos y una gran manera de añadir verduras en ella y beber sin siquiera saber que usted está bebiendo verduras. Me encanta eso. Hoy, sin embargo, estamos dejando atrás las verduras y solo nos enfocado en un solo ingrediente de fruta, las fresas.

¿Sabías que no me gustaban las fresas, podia comer una o dos fresas una vez al mes y era lo suficientemente bueno para mí. Entonces ocurrió el embarazo, estoy hablando de mi segundo embarazo cuando, de repente, me obsesioné con ellos. Comia las fresas todos los días, como platos llenos de ella y me las disfrutaba como nunca solía. ¿Quién era yo?

 Now I always buy strawberries every time I go grocery shopping not only because my kids love to eat them but because I enjoy eating them too.

This creamy strawberry smoothie recipe is super duper easy and perfect for breakfast, mid-day snack or just a late night treat. I am 100% sure that your kids will love this delicious smoothie too, besides the color being so fun and pink, it tastes so good. I added some oats because it is healthy, has fiber, protein ( among other healthy benefits), it adds texture and gives you energy.  Adding carnation milk (evaporated milk) makes the smoothie more creamier than if you would add milk.

Ahora siempre compro fresas cada vez que voy al supermercado no sólo porque mis hijos les encanta comer, sino porque me gusta comerlas a mí también.

Esta receta de batido de fresa cremosa es super chulo fácil y perfecto para el desayuno, snack a media tarde o simplemente un postre por la noche. Estoy 100% seguro de que sus hijos les encantará este delicioso batido también, además de ser muy divertido y rosa el color, su sabor es tan bueno. He añadido un poco de avena, ya que es saludable, tiene fibra, proteína (entre otros beneficios saludables), que añade textura y le da energía. La adición de leche carnation (leche evaporada) hace que el batido sea más cremoso que si desea añadir leche regular.

Let’s start with the ingredients

which are the 25-30 strawberries, 2 tablespoons of oats, 1 12oz can of evaporated milk, ice cubes, couple of drops of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Instructions:

Then you simply blend it up and enjoy this deliciousness in a cup.

Vamos a empezar con los ingredientes

los cuales son los 25-30  fresas, 2 cucharadas de avena, 1 12 oz lata de leche evaporada, cubitos de hielo, extracto de vainilla (1/2 cucharadita) y 2 cucharadas de azúcar.

Instrucciones:

Entonces sólo tienes que ponerlo en la licuadora y licuar y disfrutar esta delicia en una taza.
