Can't wait to find out your baby's gender? Findout the different fun ways you can predict your baby's gender before your sonogram appointment!

Can’t wait for your 20-week scan to find out your baby’s gender? I totally get it, it’s like awaiting game that seems to take FOREVER! These fun games will help you predict your baby’s gender! For my first pregnancy and my second pregnancy I was determined to find out the sex of my babies. I was not that mom who wanted to have the baby’s gender a surprise until birth, I just couldn’t. I’m too anxious and excited to wait four months to find out via ultrasound the sex of my babies, let alone wait for 9 months.

The minute you find out that you are pregnant, you are already thinking if your baby will be a boy or a girl, am I right? I thought for sure I was having a boy with my first pregnancy. But was completely wrong, I had a beautiful baby girl. I tried a few fun ways to predict my baby’s gender and it really didn’t matter if I had different results as to having a boy or girl, the games were always fun.

Do you want Belly-Only pregnancy? The belly only pregnancy program is going to help you stay fit and healthy as possible while pregnant. Eat clean and gain minimal weight while pregnant!

Some of the games came out accurate in predicting that I was going to have a baby girl and some games didn’t. The point is to have fun and not take these gender predicting games too seriously.

Of course you can go and purchase a sex predictor test like this one but, I dare you to try these 5 fun old school ways that you can predict your baby’s gender if you still do not know the sex of your baby.

Are you eating more sweets or salty food?

Do you find yourself craving more fruits, candy and sweet things in general? Then mama you are carrying a baby girl. If you find yourself grabbing a bag of chips, eating fries or anything of that nature, you are most likely expecting a baby boy. For my first pregnancy I was eating strawberries and watermelon like a crazy mad women. I did in fact give birth to a baby girl. For my twin pregnancy I was craving both salty and sweet foods. I was expecting a baby boy and a baby girl with my twin pregnancy. How crazy cool is that!?

Chinese gender chart

I love this chart because it actually gave me the right results. I did the Chinese gender chart for my first pregnancy because I was curious and I wanted to give it a try, it told me I was going to have a girl! This chart is so much fun and I know you will give it a try because curiosity doesn’t kill the cat (sometimes) haha! I couldn’t do this chart for my twin pregnancy because they don’t have a twin gender predicting chart even though I think they totally should, how fun would that be!

The spoon and fork game

So this game was brought to you by my grandma and I think it’s an old wives tale as well. My grandma placed a fork and a spoon under two couch pillows and told me to sit on one without me looking at where she placed them. After I was seated she told me to stand up, she then removed the pillow where I was sitting on and there was a spoon under it. Which means I was going to have a baby girl. If you sit under the pillow that has the fork, you are going to have a boy. How fun is this game!?

The necklace game

This one is a wives tale and a fun one too. I played the necklace game with my first pregnancy and it predicted that I was going to have a baby girl, even though I sometimes strategically was swinging the necklace left and right to say that I would have a boy, haha! Anyways, so the necklace game is pretty simple, all you have to do is get a necklace that already has a pendant on it or you can put a ring if it doesn’t have one. So you lay down and someone holds the necklace on top of your pregnant belly and the necklace will either swing around your belly or swing side to side (left and right) of your belly. If the necklace is swinging left to right you are having a boy and if the necklace is making circular movements then you are going to have a baby girl. You can do this game by yourself too.

Are you carrying high or low?

This one is very popular and very easy to predict. During my first pregnancy almost everyone (mostly strangers) knew or pointed out that I was going to have a girl based on how I was carrying my belly. With my twin pregnancy it was a little hard for people to tell because not only my belly was huge but I was carrying two babies. So basically if your belly is high you will have a baby girl and if your belly is low you will have a baby boy. Try it out and look at your belly right now, are you carrying high or low?

Okay, pregnant mamas, have you tried any of these 5 fun ways to predict your baby’s gender that I mentioned? Are you having a baby girl or baby boy?

What a fun post! I’m like you, I cannot wait to find out the gender. I have a friend right now who is pregnant with her forth and she is waiting until baby is born to find out what it is! She already has three boys, so we’re all hoping for a girl! I would go crazy waiting that long to find out! I loved reading about all of these fun gender determining things.

This is so fun!! I am pregnant with our first and we are not finding out (I’ve been terribly sick and hospitalized multiple times so the anticipation of the gender is really keeping me going through the end) so things like this have been neat to do. Oddly enough, I keep coming up 50/50! Can’t wait to see what it is in just 14 weeks!
