Easy and delicious pesto spaghetti with shrimp. Perfect for weeknights and an easy family meal option. Enjoy! My family is a pasta loving family. I love to make it because it’s really easy to do and the variety is endless. I have never tried making pesto before, i just thought it was time consuming and I was never really up for the challenge. That is, until now! I was so surprised of how easy it all came together and I didn’t even break a sweat, haha!

I encourage you to make your own homemade pesto sauce if you haven’t because it’s super easy. I loved it and I know you and your family will too. You can use your favorite pasta and also make it with chicken, steak or shrimp (like I did). Either way, it will be a delicious and easy family meal that you will be making over and over again. I promise you that.

What is pesto?

Pesto sauce originates from Italy. It’s main ingredients are fresh basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, grated parmesan cheese and olive oil.

This easy pesto spaghetti and shrimp dish was a huge hit with my family. My kids and hubby didn’t leave anything on the plate and that always makes me happy. They were also impressed by the way I served it, I added chunks of fresh mozzarella and chopped tomatoes for added color and flavor.

I hope you can enjoy this easy family recipe 🙂
