1.Talk to your baby
Talking to your belly is a great way to bond with your baby. Your baby can start to hear sounds by the 16th week of your pregnancy. You can start by singing in a low pitch voice your favorite nursery songs. Or you can simply talk to your baby, tell him/her about your day. Tell your baby you “love him” and how eager you are to meet him.
To be honest, with my first pregnancy, I felt a little weird talking to my belly. It took me a couple of tries to actually get the hang of things and to feel comfortable talking to my baby. But once I did, I loved every minute of it because I didn’t feel alone, I had my baby.
2. Rub your belly
Every time that you want to feel and and connect with your baby while pregnant, rub your belly! You will be massaging your belly and also bonding with your baby at the same time. It’s something that I used to do automatically, I would always rub my belly for no reason at all. I just wanted to feel my baby.
Your baby feels you and even more when you are making contact with him. You can show him/her that you are there by simply massaging or rubbing your belly. How magical!
3. Listen to the heartbeat
I would always get so excited every time I would go to my sonogram appointments because I would get to hear my baby’s heart beat. With my first born and with my twin’s, every single time it was such a special moment. I cried once or twice, don’t judge, I’m sure you are going to cry too!
You can now purchase your own heart beat doppler and start bonding with your baby sooner. You get to, listen to your baby’s heartbeat whenever you want which I think is amazing!
4. Play music
Another fun and clever way to bond with your baby while pregnant is to listen to music and have your baby join in on the fun too. You can use these Bumpinbeats speaker and start jamming together!
My hubby loves listening to music, he needs to listen to music when he wakes up in the morning in order to get ready. He also needs to listen to music ever time we need to go out in order for him to get ready. I usually get annoyed because he takes forever! Anyways, my babies would always kick every time my hubby would play music and it was so adorable. They knew daddy was there and that was their way of bonding.
5. Respond to your baby’s kicks
Baby kicks are my favorite. Your baby will start to kick and move around your second trimester of pregnancy, so be in the look out for that. You can easily respond to your baby’s kick by talking to your baby or by rubbing your belly. Your baby wants you to know that he/she is there, they want you to bond with them and respond to their kicks.

6. Sonogram picture
Sonogram pictures are a valid indicator that you are indeed growing a little human inside of you. Hey! Sometimes it’s hard to believe it, specially if you’re having twins like I was. Sonogram pictures are also a great way to bond with your baby. You get to see a glimpse of how your baby is going to look like and that is amazing.
I collected all of my sonogram pictures and still have them to this day, I used to love looking at my babies and would talk to them and let them know that I got to see them. It’s very special. You can buy these cute picture frames for your sonogram pictures.
