The perfect side dish to any meal. Broccoli with garlic will make you love eating vegetables! Try it for yourself!

I love having vegetables as a side dish for my lunch or dinner. It’s an easy way for my kids to eat their vegetables and enjoy it too. If they see my and hubby and I eating them, they are most likely going to want to try them. That’s why even if they don’t want to try a vegetable out you can always explain to them that eating vegetables is healthy and makes them stronger. My kids always try every vegetable that I introduce to them and this broccoli with garlic side dish is their favorite!

I love love garlic, I need to cook with it and I need to eat it everyday. It just adds so much flavor to any dish. So I of course wanted to spice up my broccoli game and let me tell you, that I did! I transformed a boring vegetable into the most delicious side dish ever! I make them 2 to 3 times a week and my family and I can’t get enough!

Me encanta tener verduras como guarnición para mi almuerzo o cena. Es una forma fácil para que mis hijos coman sus vegetales y también lo disfruten. Si ven a mi y a mi esposo comiéndolos, lo más probable es que quieran probarlos tambien. Si tus hijos no quieren probar un vegetal, siempre puedes explicar que comer vegetales es saludable y los hace más fuertes. ¡Mis hijos siempre prueban todas las verduras que les presento y este plato de brócoli con ajo es su favorito!

Me encanta el ajo, necesito cocinar con él y comerlo todos los dias. Simplemente agrega mucho sabor a cualquier plato. Así que, por supuesto, quise elevar mi juego de brócoli y déjame decirte que lo hice. ¡Transformé un vegetal aburrido en el plato de acompañamiento más delicioso de todos! ¡Los hago de 2 a 3 veces por semana y mi familia y yo no podemos tener suficiente!

Asparagus with bacon bits and parmesan cheese

The secret to having the most delicious broccoli with garlic side dish is to add a little bit of avocado oil (vegetable or olive oil) and butter! You just stir fry the broccoli and garlic in it, add salt and black pepper and let it cook on the stove top! You will totally get a bit of crispy black goodness on the broccoli and the garlic caramelizes making a sweet kick to it 🙂

¡El secreto para tener el brócoli con ajo mas delicioso es agregar un poco de aceite de aguacate (vegetal o aceite de oliva) y mantequilla! ¡Simplemente agregue el brócoli y el ajo, agregue sal y pimienta negra y deje que se cocine en la estufa! Obtendrás totalmente un poco de crujiente negra con el brócoli y el ajo se carameliza para darle un toque dulce 🙂

Easy and delicious vegetarian side dish of broccoli with garlic

Recipe type: Easy broccoli with garlic
Serves: 3 to 4
Ingredients
  • - 1 pound and a half of broccoli florets / 1 libra y media de floretes de broccoli
  • --salt and pepper to taste / sal y pimienta al gusto
  • - 20 to 30 cloves of garlic, finely chopped / 20 a 30 ajos bien cortadito
  • - 2 tablespoons of vegan or regular butter/ 2 cucharadas de mantequilla
  • - 2 tablespoons of avocado oil / 2 cucharadas de aceite de agucate
Instructions
  1. rinse your broccoli with water and set aside. / lava su brocoli con agua y enjuagar y dejar al lado.
  2. In a medium to large pan, add the avocado oil and and butter. / en un sarten mediano agregar el aceite y mantequilla.
  3. Once butter has melted, add the garlic and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat. / ya cuando se derrita la mantequilla agregar el ajo. Cocinar por 2 minutos a fuego medio.
  4. Add the broccoli, mix well making sure it's covered with the butter and garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. / agregar el broccoli, mezclar para incorporar el ajo con el broccoli. Sazonar con sal y pimienta al gusto.
  5. Let it cook for 20 minutes on medium heat, mix in between and you may add 2 tablespoons of water if it gets dry, so the broccoli can continue cooking. / dejar cocinar por 20 minutos a fuego medio. Agregar 2 cucharadas de agua si se esta secando para que el brocoli continue de cocinar.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
