1.Diapers
This is pretty obvious, but stock up on diapers! Make sure you have the right diaper size because if it’s too big, you may find that your baby’s poop make it’s way on your shirt or pants. If it’s too small, your baby may be uncomfortable. I love this diaper brand and have used it with all three of my children!
If you want to know how to choose the right diaper size. Simply know your baby’s weight and compare it to the diaper box where the appropriate baby weight is displayed 🙂
2.Wipes
Here comes another obvious diaper changing essential, wipes! You need wipes to successfully change your baby’s diapers. Did you know that some baby wipes may cause diaper rash? If you want to prevent diaper rashes, I recommend you choosing these unscented and water based wipes. It’s the same ones I used for my twins and really loved! Make sure to stock up on these wipes because you’ll go through them quickly!
3.Diaper pail
I’ll be honest with you, I did not use a diaper pail with my twins, but I did use one with my first born. I really loved it but I don’t think it’s a necessity. But, I am adding it to the list because it’s very convenient. Once you’re done changing your baby’s diapers, you can just drop it in the pail. You don’t have to put it in a plastic bag first and then throw it in the garbage. If you’re wondering I used this one and it worked great!
4.Diaper rash cream
Diaper rash creams are a must have for changing diaper duties. It’s a great way to prevent those unwanted diaper rashes. This one is a great option!
5.Changing pad
Using a changing pad can help your baby stay still while you’re changing his diapers. Make sure to buy the water proof ones, that way it is easier for you to clean if your baby has an accident on it. Don’t forget to also purchase the diaper pad covers.
6.Hand sanitizer
Diaper changing can be messy sometimes mama, It gets real! That’s why is always wise to have hand sanitizer in sight, you know, to apply some after changing your baby’s diaper. Disinfect those hands!

Since accidents do happen from time to time, I recommend having comfortable and easy to put on baby clothes, like these basic onesies or these cute pajamas! Have them in your diaper changing station for easy access.
8.Lotion
I love applying lotion on my kids after I changed their diapers, specially if it was a smelly one. You do not have to apply lotion on your baby after every diaper change, but it’s always nice to have at hand. This one was my all time favorite!
9. Diaper changing storage
I had a diaper changing storage and let me tell you, it was amazing! You have everything nicely organized for you to use, making mama life that much easier. You can neatly store your baby’s diapers, wipes, lotion, diaper rash creams, blankets and more! Some of these diaper storage can be placed on your baby’s crib!
It’s also a good idea to have this baby nursery care kit, with essentials like nail clippers, nasal aspirator, thermometer, brush and more!
