
I’m assuming you are in your third trimester, yay! How exciting mama, soon you’ll be holding your precious baby in your arms. Life as you know it will get ten times more special. But, before the miracle of giving birth happens, I know you want to prepare for baby. Right!?
It’s so crucial to be ready and well prepared before your baby arrives. This will definitely help you enjoy your new mama life better. Now’s the time to get things up and running. Write in a journal or piece of paper everything that you need to feel ready for your baby. Things that will make the newborn and postpartum life easier.
When I was pregnant with my kids, I always made a list of the things that I needed. Well, I thought I had everything. Then I forgot to buy a breast pump (ouch!) and I didn’t stockup on essentials. Like toilet paper and paper towels.I guess I needed to plan better.
I mean I had everything for my babies, clothes, diapers, bottles, you name it. But what about me? Not so much! Do not make my mistake mama. I got you!

1.Take an online birth class
The more educated you are about the birth experience the better you’ll feel about it. Taking an online class is super convenient and it will give you all of the resources that you need to feel confident about your upcoming birth.

2.Stock up on household essentials
If you think that after giving birth, you’ll be out the door and running errands. You are wrong mama! So, instead of stressing out because there’s no more paper toilet in the house. Make sure you stock up on household essentials!

3. Have a breastfeeding basket

Having the essentials for breastfeeding prepared and ready to be used will save you time. It’s also important to take a breastfeeding or lactation class. It will give you a better understanding of how to succeed at your breastfeeding journey! Check out this online breastfeeding class!
5.Postpartum essentials
Giving birth is hard and the postpartum period is even harder. I’ve been there twice! With my first born and then with my twins. I’ve recovered from a vaginal birth that resulted in an episiotomy (ouch!). I also had a C-section from my twins birth. So Taking care of you during the postpartum period is super important! These are a few products to stock up on

6. Prepare meals ahead of time
Oh boy! Will this be life changing for you! It will take out the stress of having to cook or order out. You can start batch cooking today and have enough meals that will last you for at least two weeks or more. Also, having freezer meals are awesome if you have visitors coming over. You don’t have to feel bad there’s no food to offer to them.

7. Have hospital bag ready
I was obsessed with having my hospital bags ready with both of my pregnancies. I literally had my bag ready at 7 months pregnant! lol. Yes, I’m crazy. But I really wanted to be prepared and I was!

8. Take a newborn basics class
My goodness is taking care of a newborn baby so demanding and honestly so hard! Who knew they required so much and sleep as a mom is forever gone! From non stop crying, to being colicky and constipated to treating baby’s first fever! You don’t need to be clueless, here’s the perfect newborn class to take online!
9.Read or watch positive birth stories
When I was pregnant with my first born, I loved watching birth stories. I was obsessed! lol. It’s always nice to hear from other moms their positive birth stories because it gives you comfort in knowing that everything will go as planned. Watching birth stories will give you a better idea of what giving birth is really like!
10. Let go of the fear of giving birth
I know that so many new moms are afraid of giving birth. What if something goes wrong? if I can’t get an epidural? What if I end up with a C-section? There are so many questions and worries that goes through your mind. But you must understand that worrying will not fix anything. It does more harm.
You need to feel relaxed and calm in the weeks before giving birth. So get educated by enrolling in a class and watch positive birth stories. You will be just fine mama!

11. Clean your house
Another way to prepare for baby is to clean your house. Make sure you get every corner of your house cleaned and ready for baby. Guess what? You do not need to do it yourself. Nope! Hire outside help, like a cleaning service in your area!
12. Be open minded
One thing I want you do be is open minded. Labor and delivery is a surprise because you just don’t know what’s going to happen. Right now, you may want a vaginal birth and in your head that’s what you’re going to have. But then, the doctor sees that your baby is in the breech position and now you need to get a C-section. These types of things happen.
You do not want to feel disappointed or sad during this time. Having an open mind will help you be prepared and ready for the unexpected.
13. Rock new mom life
