
Congratulations on your pregnancy or if you gave birth, on your newborn baby!! How exciting and beautiful the stage of motherhood that you’re in. Even though being a new mama is a blessing, it’s also very hard. I’m sharing with you what most people do not tell new moms.
I think it’s important to also state the obvious as moms and not sugarcoat everything about motherhood. Let’s leave that to instagram and the moms that you follow. Here, I’m all about being real and let you know what to expect when you become a first time mom.
This is not to scare you but to let you in on the reality of what it is to be a mom. The good and the bad. I’m your friend and I’m here to guide you through your motherhood journey in the best possible way!

1.Mom guilt
One of the most important things other moms don’t tell new moms is that you are going to feel mom guilt. You are going to start feeling that you are not a good enough mother. that you’re doing things wrong and that you will never get the hang of being a good mom. Moim guilt is real and it can take control of you and your life in a negative way.
You must overcome mom guilt if you want to live a happier mom life. If you want to feel and be more confident in the decisions you make as a mama. It’s crucial. My course will help you eliminate mom guilt out of your life. So you can rock your motherhood journey!

2.Loneliness
Being a new mother is hard and that is the real truth. why? because everything is new to you. Life with a newborn is hard and demanding and now you can’t even do the things you used to do. Your friends are not visiting as often and everybody else seems to have fun plans. While you’re stuck at home with a baby. I get it. Loneliness in motherhood is common.

3.Mom worries
When you become a mom you are going to notice that you will worry about literally everything. From your baby not eating enough, to not sleeping, is your baby growing in the normal range, what if your baby is sick? I mean there is so many things we worry as moms that it’s unreal. Think about it, you are taking care of another human, this is huge! So being worried if you’re doing a good job is valid.
Taking this newborn basics class will help you ease your fears and worries about taking care of a newborn. It will teach you everything about taking care of a newborn from changing diapers, to burping, formula to breastfeeding to what ton do when your baby gets sick and more!
4. It’s hard
Being a new mother is hard, hard hard! Your life as you know it it’s gone. Yes, I feel like having kids changes your life for the better. It’s a beautiful blessing and you truly understand the meaning of what love is. BUT! it doesn’t change the fact that is so damn hard. And you know what? It’s okay to say it! It doesn’t change the fact that you love your child to death. It’s okay to say how you feel.
5. You develop your own parenting style
One thing is for sure that you will develop your own parenting style as you go. You are going to learn what works for you and what doesn’t. What works for your baby and what doesn’t. So, please do not feel guilty that you’re doing things different from other moms. That’s the beauty of it. That you CAN parent differently and still appreciate other moms parenting style as well. We all can learn from each other!

6.Relationship gets tested
Oh boy! Did I tell you that your relationship will get tested? ha! Yes! I mean it will shake it to it’s core. Well I’m being a little dramatic. But just know that you and your partner are learning to be parents. You both will see you that you have different parenting styles and so you both need to respect and compromise or come to an agreement when it comes to being parents. Remember to respect and love one another more than ever now!
7.Sleep deprivation is real
What is sleep anyways? Once you become a mom you will not know what a good night sleep it. Unless you’re your husband then he knows! ha! Sleep deprivation as a new mama is real. It’s so incredibly hard to take care of your baby when you’re so tired and need a break. So take a break, sleep whenever you can and do not hesitate to ask for help 🙂

8.You need a break
There is nothing wrong with needing a break as a mom. You need it, you want it and you deserve it. Again mama, life with a baby is life changing, you’re not the same anymore and it takes some adjustments to actually get in the grove of things. It’s okay to take a break from the chaos. Go on a date night, take a stroll and enjoy nature. Do something for you.
9.It’s okay not to be okay
Do you know that it’s okay to not be okay? It’s okay to be in your feelings? To feel whatever it is that you feel? Sometimes other people may make you feel like you need to love every single second of being a mother. And that is not realistic at all. It’s okay mama not not enjoy being a mother every single second of the day. You got this! You’re a good mama.
10. You’re doing just fine
I want to tell you that you are doing just fine. When you become a new mom, many people do not tell you this. Instead, most just give you advice about what you should or shouldn’t do. So I’m here to tell you, that you are doing just fine.
You can breathe now, as you can see being a mother is not like they picture it on social media is it? Nope!
There are good times and bad times. It’s okay to be you, to feel how you feel. It’s okay to learn the truth about being a mama.
Know that you are worth it and you’re doing a heck of a good job as a mom!
