1.Journal for 10 to 15 minutes
Write what you are grateful for for the day, or what made you mad, what had you yelling at your children. Anything that you want to write about, just write it. It’s a way of putting it on paper, reading it and learning from it. Brain dump mama, it’s so freeing!

2.Treat yourself with your favorite drink
Everytime I find myself tired, or exhausted or not in the mood. I make myself an iced coffee. It’s amazing how a simple drink can change your mood and life! So if your jam is coffee, tea, water or a glass of wine. Drink up and enjoy every minute of it. You deserve it.

3. Go out for a walk with your family
Selfcare can also mean including your family in it. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do right? So simple selfcare ideas for the exhausted mom can also mean, taking time to be present and going out for a walk. So get out of the house, put your baby in the stroller, walk with your older kids and have a blast as a family. Fresh air is so needed especially when you’re stuck all day in the house or working outside of the home.
4. Put your feet up on the couch and close your eyes
Want a very simple selfcare idea when you’re too exhausted? Just put your feet up on the couch and close your eye. Mind blowing right? so simple and yet none of us actually do it! Seriously try it, your kids can be playing in the background or watching a movie while you close your eyes for 10 minutes. I have done this and it’s crazy amazing how good I feel!

5.Take a longer shower
Say what? I’m so serious, take a longer shower mama. Let the water run through your body and stay there and feel it. It is relaxing and calming. Close your eyes and just feel the water, do not think about anything other than feeling good and relaxed!

6. Have a nighttime routine
Having a nice nighttime routine is going to help you unwind with purpose! It’s going to help you look forward to it every night because this time is for you. So, that can look like: taking a long shower after putting your kids to bed, doing your skin care routine, laying down on your bed while reading a chapter from your favorite self help book. Nighttime does not need to be stressful, rushed or a chore. Make it fun!

7.Morning routine
I love a good morning routine. I wake up earlier than my family, pour myself a delicious iced coffee, go to my office and read my bible and pray. Then I journal and start my day in peace before the chaos ensues! Have a fun and calming morning routine that’s going to help you be mentally and emotionally prepared. It’s great!
8. Feed your body the goods
Listen I know that being super busy or tired, makes you want to grab fast food and call it a day. I mean I’m all for it but not everyday or part of my daily routine. Feed your body the good stuff, vegetables, fruits, protein. Cook from scratch, go to your local food market and make it fun and delicious! It’s only going to help you be and feel healthy, have more energy and feel good!
9.Connect with your loved ones
Connect with your family and friends because it does the heart good! Plan a brunch date or a zoom date. But make it a priority to talk to and connect with those you love. Laugh, be silly and be you!
10.Sleep longer
Another super easy and simple selfcare idea for the exhausted mom is to make sleep a priority in your life. You can start by adding an extra 10 minutes before waking up. Or you can go to bed 10 minutes earlier. Is that simple mama. You do not need to start with waking up an hour later or going to bed an hour earlier. Work with your life and routine right? You may have toddlers who wake up early, so you just go to bed earlier. Make it work for you!
