5 reasons to find positivity from birth trauma
1.Resilience
You are able to bounce back from your traumatic birth and that speaks volume. Even if you’re not 100% recovered from the anxiety, fears and flashbacks. Just being home and being a mom, being close to family and friends and slowly living your life. It shows how resilient you are! Asking for help, seeing a therapist or coach is another amazing way that shows how resilient you are! Being able to bounce back from birth trauma is not easy task, and you reading this post today is a sign of you bouncing back and doing your best to overcome birth trauma.

2.New Coping skills
Experiencing birth trauma helped me create new coping skills to overcome my ptsd and anxiety. Coping skills are important in any type of situation because it helps you deal and reduce stressful situations. Perfect right? You’re doing it! For example, When I feel my anxiety coming up, I take deep breaths and it goes away! That’s a coping skill. How do you deal with your labor flashbacks? triggers? Anxiety? The way that you handle it is called creating coping skills.

3.You grow as a person
Positivity from birth trauma can be as simple as seeing things and life differently. Finding Yourself more grateful for the small things, like making it through the day without an anxiety attack. Valuing your family more and you really do not take any second for granted. You are more stronger, happier and powerful than ever before! You beat the hospital system, you are alive and you are making it!!

4.Closer to your partner
Most likely your partner was right there with you in the hospital room or during your home birth. It was traumatizing for him too. This traumatic event has brought you two closer than ever. It’s something that both of you will never forget and can bond talking about it. You both can share your feelings and emotions without judgement. Also, it’s a great way for your partner to share his side of the events because it can bring insight for you as well. When something terrible happens, it brings people together. Birth trauma is no exception.

5. Inspiration
You are an inspiration mama! Do not ever diminish your birth story because you are inspiring other moms. Believe it or not sharing your birth story teaches other moms about what to look out for. It teaches them to speak up and advocate for themselves. It creates awareness for other moms and changes outcome too! You are amazing mama and your story is an inspiration.
Remember how strong, beautiful and amazing you are. Even experiencing birth trauma you are freaking admirable! Do not ever forget that.
