1.Don’t put all of the motherhood load on your shoulders
How many times have you said to yourself ” I’m so tired” “Why can’t the house chores end?”. That’s because you are doing everything yourself. With no help. You take care of your kids, do house chores, cook, work and everything in between.
You need to take off the load on your shoulders. Do not think that you have to do everything in one day. And don’t think that you have to do everything yourself, because you don’t and you can’t. Assign tasks to your spouse and even kids, if they are old enough to do them.
I wrote an ebook where I share a step by step guide on how to have control of your daily tasks, avoid mommy burnout and mom guilt and much more. To help you live a happier and more fulfilled mom life. Read it here!
2.Ask for help
Why is it so hard for us moms to ask for help? I mean do we think that we are super moms and can do it all? Probably! Do we think that we are less than a mom if we ask for help? Probably! You see this is a silly thought mama, because asking for help makes you a great mom.
So please, if you need help, ask! Ask and thou shall receive! Ask your spouse to help you, delegate tasks and let others step into your world to help you and make your life a lot easier. It’s so simple and yet so hard for many of us to do. You will breathe more peacefully once you realize asking for help is necessary to avoid a mom breakdown.
In my new online course for stressed moms, I teach you how to end the constant stress and overwhelm with practical tools and techniques. You will learn the power of taking care of yourself and practicing more selfcare so that you can be the best version of you! Enroll today and get started immediately!
3.Have time for self care
I’m a huge advocate for moms to prioritize selfcare! It’s crucial for your mental and emotional health. You need to set aside time that you devote to taking care of yourself and doing things that makes you happy and fill your heart with joy. Having a hobby, or side business that you can look forward to everyday. Have something that is for you and only you.
Usually if you’re a super tired mom and are emotionally exhausted in motherhood is because you have not taken the time to take care of yourself. Selfcare can mean a lot of different things. It’s simple to do and yet so powerful in the transformation that’s going to make in your life.
Some selfcare ideas can include:
- Sleeping longer hours
- Reading a book
- Going to the grocery store by yourself
- Taking a long shower
- Writing in your gratitude journal

4. Take a break when need to
It’s totally okay to take a break and not do anything. You can take a break for 5 minutes or 30 minutes. Just breathe, let go of the clutter in your mind and then go back with a positive mindset. Again mama, there’s no need to kill yourself and try to do every single house chore, or work for hour straight. You deserve and need to take a break.
Let go of these unrealistic expectations of what you think a good mom is. Because you are going to easily crash and burn putting so much pressure on yourself. Let go and live. Go ahead mama take a break.

6. Social media detox
How important is it to have a social media detox from time to time? VERY! Yup! It’s so important to take a break from social media and not let it consume your life. Sometimes you start to compare yourself to these people and you start to feel like a failure. You start to have insecurities you never felt until you saw someone on social media.
It can take a toll on you if you let it. It’s important to love yourself enough to not think you’re less than just because you see someone on social media. Do not put these people on a pedestal. Put yourself on that pedestal and work on what you need to work on for you.
7. Be more present with your family
Sometimes all you need to is be present with your spouse and kids. Do not take your family for granted. Be true to yourself and ask yourself, when was the last time you let go of work, your phone and really were present in the moment with your family?
It’s time to do just that. You need more time with your family and make memories. Have a movie night, order pizza and have ice cream for dessert. Laugh, play, talk and bond in a way you have never dreamed of. Family time is just the medicine you need in order to avoid a mom breakdown.
These tips are going to help you figure out what steps to take in order to immediately avoid a mom breakdown. You owe it to yourself to be happy, to feel good and to live the best mom life ever!
